Empower, Educate, Evolve – Vivekanandha College Women in Tech at Askan Technologies

On 23rd September 2025, Askan Technologies Pvt. Ltd. had the pleasure of welcoming the students of the IT Department from Vivekanandha College of Engineering for Women for an insightful Industry Interaction Program.

About the Institution

Vivekanandha College of Engineering for Women, an autonomous institution affiliated with Anna University, is a leading center for women’s education in Tamil Nadu. Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. M. Karunanithi, Chairman and Secretary of Vivekanandha Educational Institutions for Women, the college has earned multiple national honors for its continuous efforts in women empowerment and technical excellence.

Established in 2001, the institution now houses over 2,200 students and 200 faculty members, offering 10 undergraduate and 5 postgraduate programs across various engineering disciplines. The session began with an engaging overview of Askan Technologies by Fahmeeda HR, where students were introduced to the company’s journey, core services, and the values that define its workplace culture. They learned about Askan’s diverse portfolio of projects spanning web development, software solutions, and digital innovation. The speakers emphasized how teamwork, creativity, and adaptability play a vital role in delivering high-quality results for clients across various industries. Students also gained a better understanding of how Askan fosters a culture of continuous learning — where every idea is valued, and employees are encouraged to explore emerging technologies to stay ahead in the digital landscape.

Knowledge Sharing Sessions

The students eagerly took part in a series of interactive sessions designed to blend technical knowledge with career guidance. In the Artificial Intelligence (AI) session, they explored how emerging technologies are shaping industries, business solutions, and everyday applications, gaining a clear perspective on the transformative impact of AI in the real world.

During the Career Guidance & Industry Readiness segment, students received practical advice on developing the right mindset, building essential skills, and adapting to the fast-evolving IT landscape. They were encouraged to think beyond academics and focus on long-term growth and personal development.

The Resume Building & Interview Tips session offered hands-on guidance on creating impactful resumes, effectively showcasing skills and experiences, and confidently navigating the recruitment process. Collectively, these sessions provided students with valuable insights into bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world industry expectations, inspiring them to chart their career paths with clarity and confidence.

Internship and Project Opportunities

During the visit, the students were provided detailed insights into the internship and live project opportunities available for students. The HR team emphasized the importance of gaining hands-on experience through real-time projects, which help in strengthening both technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities. Students were encouraged to explore the company’s ongoing programs that focus on skill enhancement, teamwork, and professional growth. These opportunities aim to prepare them for future roles in the IT industry by combining academic learning with practical exposure.
