St. Joseph’s AID Students Gain Industry Exposure at Askan Technologies

On August 2, 2025, sixty students from the III Year “A” Section of the Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AID) department at St. Joseph’s College of Engineering, Chennai, visited Askan Technologies for a meaningful industry exposure session. Guided by their faculty mentors, Ms. Nithya M and Mr. Sugin S V, both Assistant Professors, the students explored what it means to move from academic learning to practical application in a professional environment.

Student Bhavadarshini asked whether Askan is a product-based company?, prompting Ms. Fahmeeda to clarify that Askan is a service-based software company, delivering tailored tech solutions across industries. This led to more student questions about project types, tech stacks, and client collaboration, creating a lively exchange of ideas. Faculty members Ms. Nithya M and Mr. Sugin S V added valuable academic context, asking thoughtful questions that linked classroom learning with real-world applications.
